Volunteers are the lifeblood of the centre. From helping out in the Cafe Bar to decorating, stewarding, leafleting – there are so many ways to help!  We exist because of ordinary people doing extraordinary things and volunteering to support the centre. Click below to find out more.

Donate / become a member

Our independent charity exists because of the support it receives from its community. Over 40 years our independent charity has provided a crucial space for people to come together to take part in community life and culture in all of its diversity. 

You can support our work with a single donation or by becoming a member. Membership is the best way to support our work year round and help people to be in the driving seat of their community events and cultural experiences. We are a membership organisation and all members help to shape our future and receive voting rights at our annual celebration and AGM.

Creative Support Programme

Do you want to set up a regular group in Lancaster?

We can offer free and reduced room hire and marketing support for creatives of all disciplines to help you do just that.

The Creative Support Programme aims to nurture regular classes/workshops at the centre and help new ideas happen by minimising the financial risk for creatives.  Find out more below.

Health Support Programme

Want a happier, healthier community? Have you got a project or an idea for a new group you’d like to start at the Gregson.

We can offer free space so you can try our a new idea as well as marketing support and mentoring in evaluation and fundraising.
