Lancaster’s Only Community Run Cafe Bar
Our award winning cafe bar is one of the most welcoming social spaces in the city.
Find a nook and grab a book from our book exchange, raid our games corner or entertain the kids with our toy area. Sit by our roaring fire in the winter, or in our colourful Yarden in the summer. Our friendly volunteers and staff make everyone feel welcome – including dogs.
Not only are we award winning but all the profits from our Cafe Bar are donated straight back to our independent charity.

Mon-Fri 10am-2pm
Sat + Sun 10am-5pm
Main menu:
Mondays (pizza only) 5-9pm
Tuesday – Friday 5-9pm
Saturday & Sunday 11am-9pm
We don’t take table reservations for food – only for community groups running activities or for folks using the centre and staying on to socialise in the Cafe Bar (max reservation 25 people – 8 max per table.)
Drinks
In 2025 our community Cafe Bar received a trio of accolades from CAMRA – the Campaign for Real Ale – winning Club of the Year for Lunesdale, Lancashire and the North West!!!
We have a selection of cask ales and draught beers as well as guests from local breweries. There’s also a delicious assortment of, wines, spirits and non alcohol free beers, stouts, ciders, juices, tonics and soft drinks.

Coffee & Cakes
We serve homemade cakes by small family business, Talk about Tasty and barista coffee with beans from Atkinsons Coffee Roasters.
