About our Cafe Bar
Open Monday-Sunday: 11am-11pm
A home from home, a living room for Lancaster, our cafe bar is arguably the most welcoming social space in the city.
Serving a wide range of cask ales, bottled craft beers, quality wines and non alcoholic drinks (including beers) as well as a range of teas and barista coffees.
Find a nook and grab a book from our book exchange, have a laugh with friends and raid our games corner or entertain the kids with our toy area. Our cafe/bar is a far cry from what you’d find in most cultural buildings. It is honest and warm hearted and a social hub in its own right
In winter, our roaring fire is always on and in the summer our little beer garden is the perfect hang out space. Our friendly volunteers and staff are well known for going the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome – even dogs (who always get offered a treat when they visit.) You’re guaranteed a good time and you’ll get a feel good factor, knowing that every penny you spend supports our independent charity to do more in our community.

Drinks
We serve a huge range of drinks for all tastes. We have a selection of cask ales and draught beers, and often serve guests from local breweries. There’s also a delicious assortment of bottles from warming Belgian beers to citrussy Indian Pale Ales and everything in between including dry and fruity ciders!
Alcohol not your thing? We also serve tons of tasty bottled juices, tonics, and other soft drinks, juice cartons and cordials, as well as an array of alcohol free beers, ciders and stouts.
As for spirits, take your pick of our many flavoured gins, enjoy an Irish whiskey at one of our folk nights, or just stick to the usual (whatever that may be – we’ve probably got you covered!)
See you at the bar, open 11 till 11, 7 days a week.

Coffee & Cakes
We serve a selection of fresh, homemade cakes and pastries as well as quality barista coffees for you to enjoy throughout the week.
Our community cares about where their food and drink comes from, which is why we’re proud that local businesses are supplying our Cakes and Coffees – and we’ve worked hard to keep our prices as affordable as ever!
Lone Wolf Bakery, a micro-bakery based out of Morecambe, are our supplier for cakes, traybakes, brownies and other baked goodies. We get a constantly changing selection of treats from Chocolate Brownies and Cinnamon Buns to Lemon Drizzles and Millionaire’s Shortbread, and always have at least one vegan and one gluten free option (subject to them being snapped up by hungry customers, of course).
Atkinsons Coffee Roasters now supply our coffee beans. Atkinsons’ reputation, as well as their focus on sustainability, made this switch a no-brainer. We serve americanos, lattes, cappuccinos and espressos – all available as decaf as well (and with your choice of dairy, soy or oat milk)
We are currently not serving meals, but we are happy for you to bring in your own, or order a takeaway to us!

What's On in the Cafe Bar
This is a cultural hub in it’s own right. The atmosphere is always welcoming and we’re always keen to hear from people who want to start something new in the cafe/bar. If you’ve got an idea, get in touch.
