Age Range: 18+

Creative writing workshop with award-winning author A.K. Blakemore

Join us in-person for an opportunity to develop your creative writing skills with award-winning historical fiction author, A.K. Blakemore.
A.K. Blakemore has received rave reviews for her novels The Manningtree Witches and The Glutton, in which she brings history to life through beautiful prose, deep research, and vividly imagining the mental worlds of marginalised people.

Blakemore’s debut novel The Manningtree Witches follows the lives of women persecuted during the Essex witch trials while her second
novel The Glutton imagines the life of the street performer  Tarrare  during the time of the French Revolution.

The workshop will take place in the Oliver Bar between 2-4pm, and will offer insights into how to develop your own creative writing, including
historical fiction.

The event will include cake provided by Tuck bakery, in addition to hot drinks provided by the Gregson.

The event is free but places are capped at 15, so book early by contacting a.wragge-morley@lancaster.ac.uk to avoid disappointment.
