The Writers’ Cafe

The monthly Writer’s Cafe is a place to meet and greet, talk about writing, talk about reading, share ideas, maybe try a writing exercise, grab a drink from the Gregson Cafe Bar…all with the aim creating a safe space to foster writing motivation and inspiration.
The cafe is for anyone aged 18+ writing creatively in any genre (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama) wherever you are on your writing journey, beginner or experienced. Writing exercises will be provided for those who need some inspiration!
All you need is your laptop and/or pen and paper, and your enthusiasm.
Session leaders Sarah Dodd and Helen Lapping are both Lancaster-based long time writers of fiction and non-fiction for children and young adults, Sarah’s published and Helen’s working towards that (!):
“We’re both school teachers, although Helen retired at the end of 2021. We’d like to meet and network with other local writers and add to the writing community here in Lancaster”
