Spring Flowers Fused Glass Workshop

Ability Level: All abilities welcome
Try your hand at fusing glass in this 1 day workshop with Fused Glass Artist, Sarah Walkley.
Fused Glass is fun, creative and easy for complete beginners to make attractive objects such as coasters, plates and bowls.
You will be shown how to cut glass and assemble it ready to be fired in Sarah’s kiln. Your work will be ready within a week for you to collect from the Gregson.
All tools and materials are provided and included in the price, £60 per person.

About the Tutor – Sarah Walkley
Sarah trained as a stained glass artist at Vetrate Artistiche Toscana in Siena, Italy, one of the first studios to experiment with fused glass.
Sarah has been creating stained glass windows and decorative fused glass for 30 years and has windows installed in many public buildings, schools, churches and homes across the UK and Italy. She had a studio in London and in Kendal before moving to Dolphinholme recently.
Sarah’s love of animals and quirkiness influences the subject of her designs and her interest in ceramics and textiles inform her style. Sarah’s work is brightly coloured, joyful and exuberant.
