French Cinema Series

Friday 17th May – 36 quai des orfèvres  (2004) with Gérard Depardieu and Daniel Auteuil. A hard hitting thriller reuniting two greats of French cinema. Both are in the police but rather at loggerhead.

Friday 31st May – Alceste à bicyclette (2013) with Fabrice Luchini and Lambert Wilson. A touching film centre around theatre, actors, self derisory and amusing.

Friday 14th June – L’été meurtrier (1983) Classic from the 80’s. Isabelle Adjani is just magnificent in this drama set in a little  village in the south of France. The supporting cast includes Alain Souchon and François Cluzet who are fantastic.

Friday 28th June – Les trois mousquetaires – Milady (2023) Part 2 of the celebrated tale from Alexandre Dumas. With Romain Duris, Vincent Cassel and Eva Green as Milady.  Part 1 was shown in December.
