The Secret Cinema is a non commercial cinema space programmed by community groups so if you’re interested in starting a regular group, get in touch.

The space is versatile, and the first two seating rows can be moved to accommodate tables/chairs. You can hire our cinema for £11 p/h if you’re using it as a meeting room and not using the cinema equipment – perfect for smaller meetings (max 12 people around a board room table) – and who else can say they’ve had a meeting in a cinema?
How it works:
You choose the film and bring it with you. The cinema has a Blu-Ray DVD player (‘normal’ DVD’s & Blu-Ray DVD’s work) and is compatible with laptops that have a HDMI port. If you don’t have a HDMI port, please bring an adaptor with you. The cinema has full surround sound.
Don’t worry about setting the equipment up – our staff will do this for you when you arrive.
Whilst drinks and food are available from the centre, you can bring in soft drinks (alcohol from outside is not permitted) & food from elsewhere but please remember to take your rubbish home with you.
The maximum capacity in the room is 25 people. The front two rows are movable if you want more floor space.
Pizza straight to your seat!
Thanks to our foodie neighbours at Toast, you can now order pizza, comfort mains and more straight to your seat in the Cinema takeaway style! Just scan the QR code in the room or order at the Cafe Bar – check the menu out here.
You can bring food/drink into the cinema with you from elsewhere but only alcohol purchased in the Gregson can be consumed in the cinema.

The Secret Cinema at the Gregson is a non-commercial cinema space, programmed by incredible Cinema Clubs.
Because of our license, most film’s screened are a secret. But members of our cinema mailing list (click to join) are emailed film titles at the beginning of every month. We also advertise all screenings in the centre on our Cinema Noticeboard on the main staircase and give clues as to what we’re screening on our socials.
True to the Secret Cinema experience, if you’d rather we kept it a secret, just rock up and see what’s on.
