“These walls are everyone’s walls”.

Proudly displayed as part of the Exhibitions sign in our Cafe Bar, this claim is absolutely true. Every month a new artist exhibits in our Cafe Bar for all of the thousands of punters who walk through our doors to feast their eyes on.

We love doing this because it keeps our Cafe Bar fresh and vibrant, and we can showcase and platform some of the incredibly talented artists working locally, sometimes exhibiting for the first time. In fact, some of our most successful exhibitions have been from people only just starting out.

But we’re running out of walls! With an almost two year waiting list to exhibit (yes, really!), we’re open to any opportunities to do more exhibitions. So we were incredibly excited when Lancaster Art Fair wanted to set up an Emerging Artists Space in the ‘back half’ of our community Cafe Bar.

Lancaster Art Fair is a not-for-profit organisation run by 4 local artists who are passionate about celebrating our city’s exceptional creativity. They believe that art should be for everyone and integral to this is providing high-quality free creative opportunities for the local community – we couldn’t agree more!

We are offering up three spaces for emerging artists to exhibit their work free of charge. These spaces are reserved for artists on a limited budget or those who are just starting out in their practice, and the exhibition will run for the month of August.
