Half-Term Notebook Workshop

Age Range: 12-1pm session 3-7, 1.30-2.30pm session 7+
Ability Level: All abilities welcome

Join local artist Rebecca Lanyon as she returns to the Gregson by popular demand to learn how to make your own nature inspired notebook using bookmaking and print techniques.

There will be two sessions. The first one is for younger children aged 4-7 years which will be more craft and printmaking to make a simple folded book.

The second workshop is for children 7+ and looks more into the construction of making a notebook/journal.

About Artist Rebecca Lanyon Wilmott

Rebecca is a local artist and activist who runs printmaking and bookbinding workshops at the Gregson. Since graduating from Edinburgh college of Art Rebecca has worked on creative commissions and workshops with Lancaster University, The Dukes Theatre, The Vegan Society, Palestinan Solidarity Lancaster, Escape2Make and Light up Lancaster. Rebecca’s workshops have been designed to to teach traditional skills such as printmaking and bookbinding in a more accessible way so that everyone can make art without expensive equipment or difficult techniques. Rebecca’s artwork and community workshops have a sustainability focus by using eco friendly and vegan art materials.
