Half-Term Basket Making Workshop

Age Range: Children 4+ (all children must be supervised by an adult)
Ability Level: All abilities welcome

Come along and make a basket with Amy Gunawan Willow Weaving. Learn a new craft in a fun, social and supportive space.

I’ll take you through the steps to make a willow basket. We’ll use a solid base from Relic Plastics made from recycled plastic and use willow to weave the sides and form a handle.

All materials and tools supplied.

There is one non-means-tested free space for anyone who is unwaged/otherwise can’t afford the session. If you would like this space please email amy@amygunawanwillowweaving.com


About the Tutor – Amy Gunawan

A Lancaster-based willow weaver and basketmaker, Amy loves to share her skills with others.  She shares her understanding of how willow behaves as well as the sensory experience, the rustic textures and the beauty and warmth of working with a natural material.

Amy runs a regular programme of basketry workshops and sells her work at local fairs and on her website.
