Over 55’s Contemporary Dance Class
Age Range: 55+
Ability Level: All abilities welcome
An opportunity, to dance, to move, to learn, to grow but most importantly to have fun alongside a group of like-minded souls.
This class is for all abilities and no previous dance experience is necessary. Class leader Chloe aims to make the sessions as accessible as possible, and you have permission to do as little or as much as feels right for you during the class.
You might play some games, you’ll definitely get ourselves warmed up with some exercises, and you may create some material over time.
Please wear something comfortable that you can move in – no special shoes necessary – and a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
Any questions please do not hesitate to send an email to Chloe on email@example.com
Originally from the Lancaster area, Chloe trained locally and with the Royal Ballet Senior Associates before training at Central School of Ballet, London. Her professional dance work spans from West Side Story, Bregenz (Richard Wherlock) to working with renowned choreographers Cathy Marston and Lynne Page. She performed with the international award-winning touring dance company Sir Matthew Bournes New Adventures as a principal and ensemble dancer for many years, productions include Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Dorian Gray, Edward Scissorhands, and Cinderella. During this time, she worked with the charitable branch of New Adventures Dance Company offering workshops and projects within schools and the community all over the UK. She is also a trained Pilates/Yoga teacher and holds an MA in Movement Psychotherapy.
Chloe’s teaching style brings together her experiences as a pro-dancer, a non-verbal storyteller and movement specialist. What’s important for her is that people leave her class with a smile on their faces and a bounce in their step.
