Community birthday card exhibition

The Gregson is turning 40 this year – let’s celebrate.  

We challenge you – our community near, far, wherever you are – to write your Gregson story in a birthday card, using just 40 words. 

Your birthday card to the Gregson will feature in an exhibition of Greggy tales.

Did you meet the love of your life here? Come to your first disco here? Did you have your school dinners in the hall?  Perhaps you worked here in the 80’s? Or maybe you want to tell us what your dreams for this community owned building are for the next 40 years?

We want to hear from anyone and everyone with a connection to the centre – no matter how big or small or long ago that connection is.  Your stories will help us celebrate 40 years of community stories, endeavour and achievement.

Or, drop your card in the post box in the Cafe Bar. 

There are also free postcards for you to write your Gregson story on available in the Cafe Bar. Feel free to express your Gregson story however you’d like to – a poem, a picture or anything else you can think of.  

All cards will be displayed in an installation throughout the centre – ever-growing until our Big 40 Birthday Bash on the 11th November
