A diverse bunch of musicians gather to play a very eclectic mix of (more or less) traditional folk music, every Thursday at 8.30pm!
You can expect to hear Bourrees from France, Polskas from Sweden, Fandangos from Spain, Freilichs from Poland, and even local tunes from the North West!
A good night has been know to feature fiddles, cellos, harps, mandolins & bouzoukis, ouds, sazes, hurdy-gurdies, bagpipes of various descriptions, accordions & concertinas, pipes & tabors, sousaphones, shawms , flutes, recorders, & tin whistles.
New and visiting musicians are always welcome to come and join in.

The space can get busy – you can use the ‘Popular Times’ feature on Google (scroll down and you will see this heading in the right hand column) which will give you an indication on business at different times. The Cafe Bar is lit by halogen spotlights in the side with the bar and the further room is lit by led lighting (this is where the folk session takes place.)
Sensory Advisory: the number of musicians can vary week to week as can the instruments. Instruments can be loud.
