Start a new habit… an informal session for anyone thinking about stopping smoking

Start a new habit… an informal session for anyone thinking about stopping smoking

17 June @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Stop smoking start dancing, stop smoking start singing, stop smoking start something new!

Thinking about stopping smoking? You’re not alone. We’re partnering up with local charity Positive Futures to help people in our local community start their quitting journey.

Positive Futures are hosting free weekly clinics with peer support from ex-smokers, to support you in quitting smoking or vaping. The sessions are free and open to everyone. This is a chance to find out a little more in familiar surroundings here at the Gregson.

We reckon you can replace smoking with a new habit. Everyone accessing the free clinics will be offered free tobacco alternative and can access up to £45 of free sessions at the Gregson so you can give dancing a go,  join a community choir or try out Pilates! The full list of activities that you can access for free can be seen in the Distraction Passport

Want to find out more before signing up for a clinic? Come and meet Jan who runs Positive Futures at the Gregson at this informal session. Hear from her about the experiences other people have had and how her and her team at Positive Futures can support you.

Stopping smoking can be hard and there’s no pressure BUT if quitting is something you’ve been thinking about for a while come and say hello in this low pressure, friendly environment – everyone is welcome.

Want to find out more before coming? Contact:  office@positivefutures.uk or 01524 587223 or just come along on the day.
