‘SHOEBOX’ is the first comedic, experimental and contemporary play from young writer and director Jack Bickerstaff. Performed by local emerging artists.
Hunter, Sam, Ashley, Charlie and Wesley have been having parties in Wesley’s barn for as long as they can remember. But the next two years are going to be challenging. Emotions run high as the five friends encounter romance, loss, questionings of identity and a bunch of other issues in this compilation of life. From a not so beloved pet accidentally getting killed to very beloved friends finding themselves grief-stricken and in trouble with the law. But when the parties eventually come to an end will they find themselves in a better place than they were two years ago?

About the Artist:
Jack Bickerstaff is a new artist to the theatre game. Although he has been fascinated by theatre and performance most his life and has been involved in various amateur productions in the past, this is the first show that is truly his own. Before finally starting rehearsals for this project Jack has worked on many musical projects such as “Jack’s Friends”, his electronic outfit which has had songs played on introducing programs on local radio. Working with a close-knit cast from the local he has created “SHOEBOX” his first play as a kind of theatrical representation of different stories he has either experienced or watched other people experienced throughout his life.
