People, Planet, Pint is a sustainability meetup, where you can find local inspiration and like-minded friends over a drink.
Join us for an informal meeting in the Gregson’s Cafe Bar. We’ll be joined by guest speaker, Mike Berners-Lee. Mike is a professor at Lancaster University’s Environment Centre, where he is involved in big picture thinking about the challenges of the 21st century, realistic positive visions for the future and how they can be enabled. Mike is involved in various sustainability research projects and writes the occasional academic paper.
This local meetup is a great place to start your journey or continue learning, and meet diverse people to chat about life and how we can sustain it. Every job is a climate job, so come along and learn about how you can take action, as well as what is going on locally.

People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas. They welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background. After all, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink? No pitches, powerpoints or panels. Just People, Planet, Pint/s.

Background music is played in our community Cafe Bar at all times. The space can get busy – you can use the ‘Popular Times’ feature on Google (scroll down and you will see this heading in the right hand column) which will give you an indication on business at different times.
The Cafe Bar is lit by halogen spotlights in the side with the bar and the further room is lit by led lighting.
We’re expecting this to be a busy evening in our Cafe Bar, so please arrive in plenty of time if you want to guarantee a seat.
