OSHO Meditation – the meditation for people who can’t stay still

Join meditation teacher Lina Shuai to shake it all out!

Wake up your body, clear your mind, and reconnect with yourself in this energising Saturday morning session.

Using a dynamic blend of movement, conscious breathing, emotional release, music, and free-flowing dance, this practice helps you let go of mental clutter and built-up tension. Rather than forcing stillness, you’ll create the conditions for it to arise naturally—leaving you feeling lighter, calmer, and more present.

No meditation experience is needed, and you don’t have to be “good at sitting still.” Just come as you are and be ready to move.

Participants attend at their own responsibility and should ensure they are physically fit to take part. If you have any injuries, health concerns, or are unsure whether this practice is appropriate for you, please consult your GP before attending.

If you have any questions about the practice or how the session is conducted, please feel free to contact Lina before the session—she’ll be happy to answer them.

How to prepare :

* This is a dynamic practice, it is best to have no food beforehand. Due to the time of the session a light snack can be taken no less than 1h before the session

* Bring a tissue to blow your nose prior to the breath work

* Loose clothes will be more appropriate for movement and comfort

* A blindfold or a light scarf to cover your eyes if you find it hard to keep them closed

* Water

This is a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where everyone is invited to have their own personal experience. Blindfolds are worn throughout the meditation (or eyes closed) to help keep the focus inward rather than on others. We ask everyone not to look at one another during the practice, allowing each participant the freedom to express themselves without self-consciousness or comparison. Whatever arises for you is welcome, and you are encouraged to let go fully and give yourself permission to experience the meditation in your own way.

Osho Dynamic Meditation is a powerful and transformative practice, and each person’s experience is unique. Sometimes the effects continue to unfold after the session, and you may find yourself reflecting on what arose for you. If you would like to talk about your experience or have any questions, Lina is available before and after the session, either in person or by email, and will be happy to support you where appropriate.

Instructions

Osho Dynamic Meditation is traditionally a one-hour practice. For this six-week introductory series, however, the active meditation itself will last approximately 30 minutes. Each session will still be one hour in total, allowing time at the beginning for an introduction, guidance, and instructions, and an opportunity to ask questions before we begin. This shorter format provides a gentle introduction to the practice while allowing you to become familiar with the meditation over the course of the six weeks.

The 5 stages of OSHO dynamic meditation:

Stage 1: breath work – bring oxygen to your brain

Stage 2: catharsis (emotional release) – express freely, fully, explode!

Stage 3: Sufi mantra hoo – move your energy upward

Stage 4: silent

Stage 5: free flow dance – celebrate!

The entire meditation (apart from stage 4) is accompanied with music purposefully composed by OSHO and his team composed of scientists and musicians

“Meditation is enjoying oneself, just sitting silently doing nothing: happy, joyous without any reason, because all reasons come from outside. And suddenly you are overflowing with joy, not because you have achieved something, but simply because you are.” — OSHO
