One person’s unwanted items could be your new treasure…
At regular dates this year, we’ll be offering up our community’s donated homewares to help reduce waste and encourage a circular economy in our community and across the city.
So if:
-Your cellar or loft contains items you no longer need
-You have an unwanted gifts to give away
-Your kids have outgrown their toys, puzzles or games
-You have finished that book and are ready to pass it on
-You want an excuse to finally get round to that clear-out
…Then please consider donating any unwanted homewares to us!
We’re also thrilled that the brilliant folk over at Lancaster & Morecambe Makers are running a stall at our next event, giving you the opportunity to have a go at weaving and a go on their loom whilst finding out more about the work of this fantastic grass roots organisation.
What we’re looking for:
Items that are clean, in good condition and complete, ready for someone else to take home with them, such as:
-Kitchenware & utensils
-Cutlery, crockery
-Pictures
-Ornaments, trinkets & treasures
-Jewellery, scarves, bags
-Toys, games and puzzles
-Books & vinyl
-Arts and Craft materials
We DO NOT accept:
-Clothing (no room to store it all!)
-Electrical items
-Second-hand bedding, such as pillows or duvets
-DVDs
-Food
-Things that are broken, dirty or incomplete

Give and Take days are not only a great way to find some pre-loved treasures, but also a great opportunity to donate to our charity. Our brilliant community voted for us to get funding to run these events so our core costs are covered to deliver them, and all items at the Give and Take are free to take home with you. But, as a charity with no core funder, we still rely on donations. There will be an opportunity to donate a small amount for any items you take, and all donations will go to our community led charity to enable us to run more events like this and do more for and with our community.
Our cafe will be open on the day so you can enjoy so grab a cuppa or have lunch whilst you’re here.
