Community Meeting | All Welcome
Join us for the Gregson Festival Group (G.F.G.) Annual General Meeting, an opportunity to reflect on the past year, share ideas, and help shape the future of our much loved community event group.
The Gregson Festival Group is a volunteer-led sub-group of the Gregson charity, responsible for delivering key free/low cost community events throughout the year – including the much-loved Bonfire & Firework Display on Miss Whalley’s Field, the Santa Float and Grotto and the annual Halloween event.
This AGM is open to everyone. Whether you’ve volunteered with the group before, enjoyed the events or someone interested in getting involved for the first time, you are warmly invited to attend.
At the AGM we will:
- Review the highlights and achievements of the past year with updates from the Chair
- Receive an update on finances from the Treasurer
- Share updates on events delivered by the group
- Discuss plans for upcoming events and future development
- Elect officers onto the committee
- Invite new ideas, feedback, and volunteers
There will also be time for open discussion and questions. The AGM will be followed by a standard meeting of the GFG which is for the committee only.
About the Gregson Festival Group
The Gregson Festival Group is a volunteer-run team working year-round to deliver community events that bring people together. The group plays a key role in organising large-scale, free, and inclusive events that are rooted in community spirit.
Working closely with the Gregson Centre, the group relies on volunteers from event planning and logistics to on-the-day stewarding and creative input.
Get Involved
We are always looking for new volunteers, fresh ideas, and people who want to help keep community-led events thriving in Lancaster.
You don’t need any experience — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in.
