All ages (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult)
Looking to make your food budget go a little further?
The Gregson is proud to be collaborating with Eggcup to offer this friendly weekly community food club that helps local people save money while preventing good food from going to waste.
Eggcup works with supermarkets, wholesalers, farms and food producers to rescue surplus food that is still perfectly good to eat. Members receive a selection of fruit, vegetables, chilled and cupboard foods each week for a small membership fee. Every collection is different, making it a great way to discover new ingredients while reducing food waste.
Eggcup is a membership-based food club. It offers an affordable way to stretch your weekly food budget while supporting a more sustainable food system.
Everyone is welcome!
Eggcup believes that everyone should have access to affordable, nutritious food. Whether you’re looking to reduce your shopping bills, minimise food waste or simply become part of a supportive local community, you’re welcome to find out more.
The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and welcoming, with Gregson and Eggcup volunteers on hand to answer questions and help new members. You do have to be signed up as a member to access food and places are limited. There are currently a couple of places available and these are offered on a first come, first serve basis. To become a member please call 01524 928027 or email members@eggcup.org with your name and telephone number.
Together, Eggcup and the Gregson are helping to build a stronger, greener and more connected community—making good food accessible while reducing unnecessary food waste.
