‘Dot’s Choir’ are a group of women who over the last 25 years have supported each other through the trials of life, the joys of births and much more.

The group sings a wide repertoire from around the world: Songs of beauty and hope, love, peace and joy. Pop songs, the odd jazz standard, and feminist classics.

The group’s choir leader, Anni, is an experienced community musician who creates a safe place for women to find and enjoy their own voices. But the group are so much more than just a ‘choir’, their desire to “go home feeling better than when they came out” underpins each session.

Everyone can sing, regardless of what you have been told in the past, and the first session is free so there is no hurdle to giving it a go!

Bring a friend or come alone and make new ones.

Sensory advisory: There are roughly 35-40 people in this choir. Please be aware that group singing can be loud.
You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you like when you attend for the first session. The first session is free so you can sit and listen or take part – Easy Access Seats are always available at the side of the room if you want to sit out at any point.
You are welcome to remain seated whilst singing – whatever works best for you.
Occasionally songs are provided in hard format – the basis of the choir is that songs are taught by ear.
