Feeling a bit lonely? At a loose end on a Monday morning? Why not start the week with a brew and a chat in the Gregson’s Community Cafe Bar.
Here you will meet new people and have an opportunity to connect with new friends.
This is part of the Empty Chairs campaign to tackle loneliness. This is a community-led initiative inviting people to sit together at pub tables across the UK – no one has to sit alone.
Loneliness affects people of all ages. Empty Chairs exists to create low-pressure spaces where real human connection can happen – even if it’s just sitting together for a drink.

Rev’d Kaarina is the curate at Christ Church Lancaster, which is an inclusive church with vibrant worshipping community. She is an ordained priest in the Church of England, and keen musician who enjoys crochet, reading and a really great cup of coffee.
