Beats Without Borders is a joyful night of music, dance and cultural celebration bringing together people from across Lancaster and beyond.
Hosted at the Gregson in partnership with RAIS, these bi-monthly dance nights create a welcoming space where local residents, refugees and people seeking asylum can come together, share music from around the world and celebrate the cultures that make our community vibrant.
Expect an uplifting mix of global beats, great DJs, dancing and a friendly atmosphere where everyone is welcome – whether you come to dance, meet new people, or simply soak up the energy. The nights are about connection, celebration and discovering new sounds while building friendships across cultures.
By sharing music and dance, Beats Without Borders helps break down barriers and bring people together in one of Lancaster’s most inclusive community venues.
Come along, bring your friends, and be part of a night where the dancefloor belongs to everyone.

This event includes social/communal dances. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you like. There will be informal seating with cabaret tables dotted around the room and the majority of the floor space given over for dancing. Easy Access Seats will be available.
No low light zone but a low light event with LED disco lights.
If you need any support at the event – the Gregson and RAIS team are easily identifiable in purple jackets
