Wise Up CIC was founded in 2013 with one clear aim; to give people of all abilities equal opportunities in performing arts.
The Little Theatre Company by the sea is a project delivered by the Wise Up team offering weekly acting workshops that are a fun & inclusive for older adults & adults with disabilities/ learning differences.
Wise Up’s approach is participative; they include everyone to collaborate and create devised theatre together.
Carers come for free!

About Elspeth:
“My name is Elspeth Roberts; I am a local lass and the founder of Wise Up CIC. I have a passion for creating equal opportunities in performing arts for people who haven’t been given the chance to use their voice through creativity because of barriers they face. Acting and drama is a transformative journey, and it is an absolute gift to witness people grow in confidence and in believing that they CAN!”
Elspeth is a play therapist, and has been working in SEN for 25 years. Elspeth has been running wise up for nearly 13 years. She has a degree in drama, and proclaims herself to be “one of those annoying people who finds the joy in everything”.
